Principles of peer review

BNJAR has set clear criteria and dedicated editoral teams. Manuscripts that meet these criteria are accepted, while those that do not are rejected. The journal evaluates the value and validity of the presented work through rigorous quality checks and editorial boards are responsible to make informed content decisions.

Editors are responsible for acceptance decisions, while chief editors make both acceptance and rejection decisions.

Acceptance criteria

• Valid research question and hypothesis, with a relevant theory to which the research question is being posed
• Correct and transparent methodology, and the study design and materials are clearly laid out
• Language and presentation are clear and adequate
• Figures and tables are in line with scientific norms and standards
• In line with BNJAR's author guidelines
• Sufficient referencing and appropriate coverage of the relevant literature
